Abstract

This research discusses the librarian representation in the comic The Librarian Season 1 which is represented by the character of Miche as a librarian. The purpose of this study was to determine the librarian representation in the comic The Librarian Season 1. The research method used in this study was qualitative, using
the semiotic analysis of Roland Barthes' sign map as a data analysis method and based on the Basic Framework for Indonesian Librarianship put forward by Blasius Sudarsono as the basis for the analysis of the connotative meaning of librarian
representations in the comic The Librarian Season 1. The results of this study indicate that the figure of Miche in the comic The Librarian Season 1 represents librarian with a professional character who is intelligent and holds the truth and is
always honest, simple, and humble. Miche also represents a librarian who carries out her job based on a vocation and a passion for life. Miche is a representative intelligent librarian who has the ability to think critically, analytically, and logically, who also has good reading and writing skills, and always upholds ethics in carrying out his profession and works of service professionally. So that referring to the Basic Framework for Indonesian Librarianship, the character Miche in the
comic The Librarian Season 1 represents the figure of a complete librarian, happy with his work, and can be useful to others through his professional contributions. Even though Miche in the comic The Librarian Season 1 has not represented a librarian who fulfills one of the factors in the Basic Framework for Indonesian Librarianship, namely the wealthy librarian factor (Rich) who is supported by entrepreneurial skills.

Penelitian ini membahas representasi pustakawan dalam komik The Librarian Season 1 yang direpresentasikan melalui karakter Miche sebagai pustakawan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui representasi pustakawan dalam
komik The Librarian Season 1. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif, dengan menggunakan analisis semiotika peta tanda Roland Barthes sebagai metode analisis data serta berlandaskan pada Kerangka Dasar
Kepustakawanan Indonesia yang dikemukakan oleh Blasius Sudarsono sebagai landasan analisis makna konotatif representasi pustakawan dalam komik The
Librarian Season 1. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tokoh Miche dalam komik The Librarian Season 1 merepresentasikan pustakawan dengan karakter sosok profesional yang cerdas dan memegang kebenaran serta selalu bersikap jujur,
sederhana, dan rendah hati. Miche juga merepresentasikan sosok pustakawan yang menjalani pekerjaannya dengan dasar panggilan hidup dan juga semangat hidup. Miche adalah representasi pustakawan cerdas yang memiliki kemampuan berpikirkritis, analitis dan logis, yang juga memiliki kemampuan membaca dan menulis yang baik, serta selalu menjunjung tinggi etika dalam menjalankan profesi serta karya pelayanannya dengan profesional. Sehingga merujuk pada Kerangka Dasar
Kepustakawanan Indonesia, tokoh Miche dalam komik The Librarian Season 1
merepresentasikan sosok pustakawan paripurna, bahagia dengan pekerjaannya, dan dapat berguna bagi sesama melalui sumbangsih profesinya. Sekalipun Miche dalam komik The Librarian Season 1 belum merepresentasikan sosok pustakawan yang memenuhi salah satu faktor dalam Kerangka Dasar Kepustakawanan Indonesia yaitu faktor pustakawan kaya (Rich) yang didukung kemampuan berwirausaha.
