Abstract

PT Roda Pasifik Mandiri Semarang is a manufacturing company that produces
various transportation equipment, including bicycles, electric bicycles, and electric motors.
Enhancing the effectiveness of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in raw material
warehouse management is a priority to reduce financial losses due to goods damage.
However, the current implementation of SOPs in the raw material warehouse is
suboptimal, as evidenced by the significant level of damaged goods. Data on raw material
damage indicates high financial losses from rejected goods, underscoring the need to
improve SOP effectiveness in the raw material warehouse. This research aims to develop
and evaluate the raw material warehouse SOPs at PT RPM using the Business Process
Modeling (BPM) method. By employing BPM, the study seeks to gain a comprehensive
understanding of the warehouse's business processes and identify issues and opportunities
for improvement. The objective is to minimize goods damage and reduce company losses by
optimizing SOPs for the storage and handling of raw materials in the warehouse. Utilizing
descriptive qualitative methods, this research develops raw material warehouse SOPs
through Business Process Modeling and identifies inhibiting factors at PT Roda Pasifik
Mandiri. The results demonstrate that applying the BPM method in preparing and
evaluating the SOPs for the raw material warehouse at PT RPM successfully enhances
operational effectiveness. By designing SOPs that better align with field conditions and
improving supervision and communication, the company significantly reduced the number
of damaged goods. These measures have helped PT RPM achieve greater efficiency and
consistency in goods storage, positively impacting the company's profitability and
reputation.
