This study examines the main character of Soshite Chichi Ni Naru, Nonomiya Ryota. The portrayal of Nonomia Ryota’s character itself giving impact to the movie’s storyline. This study applies the 120-minute Soshite Chichi Ni Naru as the material object, and the character’s explanation with Klages’ theory of personality. This study aim to describe the character of Nonomiya Ryota. This study is a literature study and apply the method of literature psychology. The theories which applies to this study are the Pratista’s narrative element and Klages’ theory of personality.
To examines the movie, the narrative element itself divided by three parts, which include three-act structure, relation between narrative and space, and relation between narrative and time. The study describe the character of Nonomiya Ryota in the form of sanguine and phlegmatic. Results, Nonomiya Ryota’s character is a sanguine type rather than a phlegmatic type.
