Abstract

This thesis is entitled “The Role of Knowledge Sharing in the Life Cycle of the
Community of Practice (Phenomenology Study in Rewo-Rewo Community in
DesaKaliabu, Magelang)”. The purpose of this study is to find out about the role
of knowledge sharing in the life cycle process of Rewo-Rewo Community at
DesaKaliabu, Magelang. The research design used in this study was descriptive
qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The selection of informants is
done by non-probability sampling technique and with purposive type. The method
of data collection carried out in this study was by in-depth interviews,
observations, and literature studies. The method of data analysis in this study
used the data analysis method model Miles and Huberman which includes four
stages of process, namely: (1) data collection; (2) data reduction; (3) display
data; and (4) conclusions: drawing/verification. The validity test of the data in
this study was carried out by data triangulation method. The results show that
Rewo-Rewo Community is a community of practice which has three basic
structures in it. Rewo-Rewo Community also goes through the life cycle stages
Wenger et al. model. Rewo-Rewo Community through potential stage, coalescing
stage, maturing stage, stewardship stage, and transforming stage.

Penelitian ini berjudul “PeranKnowledge Sharing PadaSiklusHidupCommunity of
Practice (Studi Fenomenologi Pada Komunitas Rewo-Rewo di Desa Kaliabu
Kabupaten Magelang)”. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui
tetangperanknowledge sharing dalam proses siklus hidup Komunitas Rewo-Rewo
sebagai community of practice di Desa Kaliabu, Kabupaten Magelang. Desain
penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan
pendekatan fenomenologi. Pemilihan informan dilakukan dengan teknik non
probability sampling dan dengan jenis purposive. Metode pengumpulan data yang
dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan cara wawancara mendalam,
observasi, dan studi pustaka. Metode analisis data dalam penelitian ini
menggunakan metode analisis data model Miles dan Huberman yang mencakup
empat proses tahapan yaitu: (1) data collection; (2) data reduction; (3) data
display; dan (4) conclusions: drawing/verification. Uji keabsahan data dalam
penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode triangulasi data. Hasil
penelitianmenunjukkanbahwaKomunitasRewo-Rewomerupakancommunity of
practice yang memilikitigastrukturdasar di dalamnya. KomunitasRewo-Rewo
juga melaluitahapansiklushidup model Wenger et al. KomunitasRewoRewomelaluitahapanpotential, tahapancoalescing, tahapanmaturing,
tahapanstewardship, dan tahapantransformation.
