Abstract
Alice (2022) movie is inspired by the true story of a slave named Mae Louise Walls Miller, who escaped from her owner and had to face injustice from her master, even though slavery had already been abolished. The purpose of this study is to find forms of racial prejudice and resistances in the film. In examining racial prejudice and resistances, the researcher applied Gordon Allport’s scale of prejudice theory and Cudd’s theory of resistance. The results found three forms of racial prejudice according to Allport’s framework namely, anti-locution, discrimination, and physical attack, as well as acts of resistance carried out by the characters.
