Abstract

Kabupaten Pati, Jawa Tengah merupakan daerah dengan luas lahan pertanian dan peternakan seluas 59,299 hektar atau 39,43% dari wilayah keseluruhan sehingga dikenal dengan sebutan Pati Bumi Mina Tani terutama peternakan sapi potong yang terdapat di seluruh kecamatan di Kabupaten Pati, dimana limbah ternak sapi potong selama ini hanya dimanfaatkan sebagai pupuk kandang bagi sektor pertanian warga sekitar. Pemanfaatan limbah ternak sapi potong dapat diolah menjadi salah satu energi baru terbarukan melalui pengolahan secara anaerob untuk produksi biogas dari limbah ternak sapi potong untuk dapat mengurangi tingkat pencemaran udara dan gas efek rumah kaca yang disebabkan oleh adanya penumpukan limbah ternak sapi potong yang dibiarkan diruang terbuka dan tidak dikelola dengan optimal. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk dapat menghitung jumlah potensi biogas terutama gas metana (CH4) beserta langkah mitigasi emisi gas rumah kaca (GRK) mengacu pada pedoman Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) menggunakan metode kuantitatif, observasi di lapangan melalui wawancara dengan beberapa peternak dari beberapa kecamatan dan pengambilan sampel data sapi potong didapatkan jumlah potensi gas metana di Kabupaten Pati sebesar 1.763 m3 dengan wilayah Kecamatan Jaken dan Kecamatan Margoyoso memiliki potensi terbesar dengan jumlah 201 m3 dan 160 m3 disamping memiliki potensi gas metana Kabupaten Pati juga menyimpan ancaman emisi metana yang dihasilkan dari limbah ternak sapi potong dengan jumlah emisi limbah ternak sapi di Kabupaten Pati sebesar 5,49 GgCO2eq dan ancaman emisi karbon (CO) yang dihasilkan dari penggunaan listrik sebesar 694.994.774 kgCO2e. Berdasarkan jumlah ancaman emisi diatas dilakukan analisis SWOT untuk mendapatkan langkah mitigasi emisinya antara lain dengan cara melakukan pilot project yang digagas oleh peternak, akademisi dan dinas pemerintah setempat terkait pembuatan instalasi pengolahan gas metana (CH4), Meningkatkan tingkat partisipasi masyarakat dengan cara memberikan arahan terkait manfaat gas metana.

Pati Regency, Central Java is an area with extensive agricultural and livestock land around 59,299 hectare or 39,43% area of Pati Regency so it’s known as Pati Bumi Mina Tani, especially cattle farm which are spread throughout the sub-districts in Pati Regency. Beef cattle manure waste has so far only been used as manure for the agricultural sector. agriculture of local residents. The use of cattle manure waste can also be processed into renewable energy through pollution and biogas processing from beef cattle waste to reduce the level of air pollution and greenhouse effect gases caused by the accumulation of livestock waste that is not managed optimally. This research was conducted to be able to calculate the amount of potential biogas, especially methane gas compounds (CH4) along with steps to mitigate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions using the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) uses quantitative methods, field observations through interviews with several farmers from several sub-districts and sampling cattle data, it was found that the potential amount of methane gas in Pati Regency was 1.763 m3, with the Jaken and Margoyoso sub-districts having the largest potential with a total of 201 m3 and 160 m3 apart from having the potential for methane gas, Pati Regency also has the threat of methane emissions produced from beef cattle waste with the amount of cattle waste emissions in Pati Regency amounting to 5.49 GgCO2eq and the threat of carbon (CO) emissions resulting from the use of electricity amounting to 694,994. 774 kgCO2eq. Based on the number of emission threats above, a SWOT analysis is carried out to obtain emission mitigation measures, including by carrying out pilot projects initiated by breeders, academics and local government agencies related to the creation of methane gas (CH4) processing installations, increasing the level of community participation by providing direction regarding the benefits of methane gas.
