Abstract

The Marketing Division is responsible for promoting and selling services to both
domestic and international clients at PT. PRPP Jawa Tengah Perseroda. This division
requires frequent communication with clients, making strong communication skills
essential for the staff, particularly in English, which is the international language.
However, it has been observed that the Marketing Division staff at PT. PRPP Jawa Tengah
Perseroda lack proficiency in English communication, primarily because there was no
specific training, and there is no handbook available to help staff improve their English
skills. To address this issue, a bilingual handbook can be developed to enhance the English
communication abilities of the Marketing Division staff at PT. PRPP Jawa Tengah
Perseroda. This study aims to identify the need for such a handbook and describe the
process of creating it. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D). A
Likert-scale questionnaire was administered to 18 respondents to evaluate the content,
audiovisual, and linguistic aspects of the handbook. The assessment results indicated that
all respondents strongly agreed with the statements in the evaluated aspects, meaning the
handbook successfully help the marketing staff to perform sales in English.
