Abstract
This study aims to design a grammar module at the intermediate level using
the Borg and Gall development research design, which consists of 10 steps
simplified into 8, namely research and information collecting, planning, developing
a preliminary form of product, preliminary field testing, main product revision,
main field testing, final product revision, and dissemination and implementation.
The research instrument used a validation sheet by experts in their fields to test the
practicality of the module and ten students as samples to test the module's
effectiveness. The research data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The
research was analyzed using descriptive analysis and nonparametric statistics. The
results showed that this grammar module can increase students' interest in
independent learning. The module's materials, exercises, and displays are in the
Very Appropriate category. Thus, the grammar module at the intermediate level is
valid, practical, effective, and valuable for improving English grammar proficiency.
