Abstract

Rapid and uncontrolled population growth is feared to be a burden on national development, because population growth is a multi-sectoral issue or can be said to be related to and have an impact on many other sectors, one of which is the environmental sector. The amount of waste generated by human activities has a
direct correlation with the population in an area. Jakarta as the most populous city in Indonesia with a population of 10.6 million in 2022 holds many challenges and
problems in the environmental sector. Waste management under the authority of the Jakarta Environmental Agency is carried out in several ways, one of which is by the Waste Management and Hazardous Waste Division which has an e-waste dropbox
service innovation to manage toxic and hazardous waste in the city of Jakarta. This research will analyze service innovations carried out by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Environment Agency. This research uses Rogers M. Everest's innovation attributes
with a qualitative descriptive approach to describe the research results. The data collection techniques used are observation, documentation, and interviews with
several informants such as the DKI Jakarta DLH Waste and Hazardous Waste Management Division and the community of e-waste dropbox service innovation users and non-users of e-waste dropbox services. The results showed that the implementation of the e-waste dropbox innovation in the City of Jakarta has fulfilled
several indicators on the innovation attributes, but there are still several factors that hinder the implementation of the e-waste dropbox service innovation in the City of Jakarta.
