Abstract

ABSTRACT
Haetami, Mochammad Syauqi H. 2023. “Sufiks –Chou, –Fuu, dan
–Ryuu Dalam Bahasa Jepang”. Thesis. Department of Japanese Language and
Culture, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University. The advisor: Elizabeth
Ika Hesti ANR, S.S., M.Hum.
The research aims to describe the structure and meaning of the
meaningful suffix of style –chou, –fuu, and –ryuu in Japanese. And also aims to
describe the possible suffixes –chou, –fuu, and –ryuu can be substituted.
The data used in this research were obtained from printed dictionaries
and various websites in Japanese. The data was collected through the
observation method and writing technique.
The method that been used in this research is a descriptive – qualitative
method. Then the data were analyzed using the agih method. The results of the
analysis are presented using informal methods.
The results of the analysis show that the suffixes –chou, –fuu, and –ryuu
have the same meaning, namely in style, but are used differently. The –chou, –
fuu, and –ryuu are attached to the noun word. The suffixes –chou, –fuu, and –
ryuu can be attached to the types of words wago, kango, and gairaigo. The suffix
–chou refers to style that tends to have a characteristic. Suffix –fuu refers to a
style that tends to have visual.The suffix –ryuu refers to method.
