Abstract

This thesis is entitled "The Urgency of the Role of the Archivists in the Management of Static Archives in the Purworejo Regency Library and Archives Service". The purpose of this study was to find out how the roles, tasks and professional competence of archivists, and to know the implementation of a static archive management system. The research method used is a type of qualitative research using a case study approach. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. Qualitative data analysis techniques in this study include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study explain that the number of archivists handling archives in DinarpusPurworejo has not been proportional to the volume of records entered so that the highest workload is felt by archive management personnel, which starts from archive acquisition, management and structuring of archives, until the archive is charged to archivist only. Static archive management activities refer to the formal juridical basis contained in article 3 of the Republic of Indonesia Presidential Decree Number 105 of 204 concerning the management of static records.
Skripsi ini berjudul “Urgensi Peranan Arsiparis dalam Pengelolaan Arsip Statis di Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Kabupaten Purworejo”. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran, tugas dan kompetensi profesionalitas arsiparis, dan mengetahui implementasi system pengelolaan arsip statis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi non partisipan, wawancara semiterstruktur, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data kualitatif dalam penelitian ini meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa jumlah arsiparis yang menanganiarsip di Dinarpus Kabupaten Purworejo belum sebanding dengan volume arsip yang masuk sehingga beban kerja paling tinggi dirasakan oleh tenaga pengelola arsip di mana yang di mulai dari akuisisi arsip, pengelolaan dan penataan arsip, hingga sampai penyimpanan arsip dibebankan pada arsiparis saja. Kegiatan pengelolaan arsip statis sudah mengacu pada landasan yuridis formalnya yang terdapat pada pasal 3 Kepres RI Nomor 105 Tahun 204 mengenai pengelolaan arsipstatis.
