Abstract

This thesis discusses Sineroom's collective perception of the library through the
Short Film The Library Book. This research aims to find out Kolektif Sineroom’s
perception of the library through the short film The Library Book. The type of
research used in this study is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The data retrieval technique is done by semi-structured interviews. Determination of informants in this study using saturated sampling and obtained five informants who participated in this study. The collected data are then analyzed using data reduction. The results of data analysis found that there was a change in Kolektif Sineroom’s perception after watching the short film The Library Book. Kolektif Sineroom’s Perception of the library underwent a change. These changes are caused by the film The Library Book which tells of a library that will be closed because it can no longer keep up with the times. It creates a sense of sympathy and concern for informants about the library. There has been a change in perception that the Sineroom Collective has become increasingly aware of the importance of libraries, has become more concerned and willing to give more attention to libraries in order to stay alive in the midst of changing modern times.
Skripsi ini membahas tentang persepsi Kolektif Sineroom terhadap perpustakaan melalui film pendek The Library Book. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi Kolektif Sineroom terhadap perpustakaan melalui film pendek The Library Book. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengambilan data yang dilakukan adalah dengan wawancara semi terstruktur. Penentuan informan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan sampling jenuh dan didapatkan lima informan yang berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan reduksi data. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terjadi perubahan persepsi Kolektif Sineroom setelah menonton film pendek The Library Book. Persepsi Kolektif Sineroom terhadap perpustakaan mengalami perubahan. Perubahan tersebut disebabkan oleh film The Library Book yang menceritakan sebuah perpustakaan yang akan ditutup karena tidak bisa lagi mengikuti perkembangan zaman. Hal tersebut menimbulkan rasa simpati dan kepedulian informan terhadap perpustakaan. Terjadi perubahan persepsi bahwa Kolektif Sineroom menjadi semakin menyadari pentingnya perpustakaan, menjadi lebih peduli dan mau memberikan perhatian lebih untuk perpustakaan agar tetap hidup di tengah perubahan zaman modern ini.
