Abstract

This thesis discusses the perception of librarians and archivists on the application of the convergence of documentation institutions that occurred in the Central Java Regional Archives and Library Service. The purpose of this study was to determine the perceptions of librarians and archivists regarding the application of the convergence that occurred in the Central Java Province Archives and Library Service. This study uses qualitative methods, data collection in this study using interviews and observation. Based on the research that has been done, it is known what lies behind the differences in the perceptions of the two documentalists on the convergence of documentation institutions in the Office of Archives and the Central Java Regional Library. The author also added the background of the application of the convergence of documentary institutions in the Central Java Archives and Library Service, the advantages and constraints faced after the application of the convergence that occurred in the Central Java Provincial Archives and Library Services, and the influence of the unified library and archival institutions at the level of national and collaborative efforts between library and archival institutions to jointly save cultural heritage.
Skripsi ini membahas mengenai persepsi Pustakawan dan Arsiparis terhadap penerapan konvergensi lembaga dokumentasi yang terjadi di Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Daerah Jawa Tengah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk
mengetahui persepsi pustakawan dan arsiparis mengenai penerapan konvergensi yang terjadi di Dinas Arsip dan Perpustakaan Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, pengambilan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara dan observasi. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan diketahui apa yang melatarbelakangi adanya perbedaan persepsi kedua pelaku dokumentalis tersebut terhadap konvergensi lembaga dokumentasi di Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Daerah Jawa Tengah. Serta penulis menambahkan latar belakang dari penerapan konvergensi lembaga dokumentsi di Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan daerah Jawa Tengah, Keuntungaan dan kendala yang dihadapi setelah penerapan konvergensi yang terjadi di Dinas Arsip dan Perpustakaan Provinsi Jawa Tengah, dan pengaruh belum disatukannya lembaga perpustakaan dan lembaga kearsipan di tingkat nasional, serta upaya kerjasama antara lembaga perpustakaan dan lembaga kearsipan untuk bersama-sama menyelamatkan warisan budaya.
