Abstract

Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak etanol daun cocor bebek (K. pinnata) terhadap pertumbuhan P. gingivalis secara in vitro. Metode: Merupakan penelitian true experimental dengan rancangan post-test only control group design dengan melakukan uji Konsentrasi Hambat Minimum (KHM) dan uji Konsentrasi Bunuh Minimum (KBM). Sampel penelitian ini menggunakan bakteri P. gingivalis. Sebanyak 24 sampel dikelompokkan dalam 6 kelompok, terdiri dari 4 kelompok perlakuan dengan konsentrasi ekstrak etanol daun cocor bebek (K. pinnata) yang berbeda yaitu 100%, 75%, 50%, dan 25%, kontrol positif (metronidazole 500mg) dan aquadest steril. Hasil: Ekstrak etanol daun cocor bebek (K. pinnata) konsentrasi 50% merupakan KHM dan KBM pada penelitian ini. Analisis uji Kruskal Wallis menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan (p<0,001) pada uji KHM dan KBM dengan kelompok perlakuan dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Mann Whitney yang menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan pada beberapa kelompok perlakuan (p=0,008). Kesimpulan: Terdapat pengaruh ekstrak etanol daun cocor bebek (K. pinnata) konsentrasi 50%, 75%, dan 100% terhadap pertumbuhan P. gingivalis secara in vitro dengan nilai KHM dan KBM pada konsentrasi 50%.
