Abstract

Perpustakaan AKKES Asih Husada bertujuan sebagai penyedia informasi bagi
seluruh civitas akademik, khususnya mahasiswa AKKES Asih Husada. Penelitian
ini bertujuan untuk mencari gambaraan terkait motivasi yang dimiliki mahasiswa
ketika berkunjung ke perpustakaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif
dengan mengambil informan yaitu mahasiswa AKKES Asih Husada sebagai
informan untuk diwawancarai. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat
disimpulkan bahwa motivasi internal yang dimiliki oleh mahasiswa ketika
berkunjung ke perpustakaan adalah untuk memenuhi kebutuhan informasi mereka
dan keinginan untuk berkumpul bersama teman-teman. Sedangkan motivasi
eksternal mahasiswa AKKES Asih Husada ketika berkunjung perpustakaan
adalah untuk memanfaatkan fasilitas-fasilitas pendukung yang ada di
perpustakaan seperti ruangan yang nyaman untuk berkumpul ketika mereka
memiliki waktu luang, serta fasilitas wi-fi yang mereka gunakan untuk mencari
informasi atau untuk mengakses internet.
The library of AKKES Asih Husada was purposed to provide information for all
academic community especially for the students of AKKES Asih Husada. This
research was aimed to find a picture related to student’s motivation as they
visited the library. This research used qualitative method by interviewing AKKES
Asih Husada’s students as an informant. Based on the result of this research, it
can be concluded that Internal motive of the students when they visited the library
was to fulfill their needed of information, and their will to gathered with their
friends. While the external motivation of the Asih Husada AKKES students when
visited the library was to utilize the supporting facilities in the library such as a
comfortable room to gathered when they have free time, as well as wi-fi facilities
that they used to find information or to accessed internet.
