Abstract

This study discusses the analysis of conservation of special media archives in
Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Provinsi Jawa Tengah. The purpose of this
study was to find out the conservation activities of special media archives in
Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Provinsi Jawa Tengah. he method used in this
study is a qualitative research method. Data collection techniques carried out
were observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study
indicate that the conservation activities of special media archives located in
Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Provinsi Jawa Tengah have been running
well and in accordance with existing procedures. One of the special media
archive conservation activities carried out in is media transfer activities. Media
transfer activity is an effort to save the archive in terms of the contents of the
information by transferring the contents of information from the original media
archive into a new media archive in the form of DVD.

Penelitian ini membahas tentang analisis konservasi arsip media khusus di
Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah
mengetahui kegiatan konservasi arsip media khusus yang beradadi Dinas
Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Metode yang
digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah observasi, wawancara,
dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kegiatan konservasi arsip
media khusus yang berada di Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Provinsi Jawa
Tengah sudah berjalan dengan baik dan sesuai dengan prosedur yang ada. Salah
satu kegiatan konservasi arsip media khusus yang dilakukan di
Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Provinsi Jawa Tengah adalah kegiatan alih
media. Kegiatan alih media
adalah upaya penyelamatan arsip dari segi isi informasinya dengan cara memindahkan isi
informasi dari media arsip aslinya ke dalam arsip media baru berupa DVD.
