Abstract

This study aims to determine the perceptions of users on information architecture in the iJateng application of the Central Java Regional Library. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method using semi-structured interviews as a data collection technique. The data collection of this research involved nine informants, namely users of the iJateng application who had or are still using it. The collected data were then analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The results of the analysis show that three are related to the experience of the visitors. The first theme is layout management which describes the opinions of users regarding the appearance of the iJateng application. The iJateng application is a communicative image and text element, the displayed image gives a message and impression and meaning to its users. Organizing the menu makes it easier for users to find the information they need. The second theme is content that discusses the content of information provided by the iJateng application. The content provided is relevant and in accordance with the needs of its users. The third theme is accessibility or ease of accessing the iJateng application. Users are easy to access and search for information in the iJateng application. Also supported by good navigation or instructions will make it easier for users to obtain the information they need.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi pemustaka terhadap arsitektur informasi pada aplikasi iJateng Perpustakaan Daerah Jawa Tengah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan wawancara semi-terstruktur sebagai teknik pengumpulan data.
Pengumpulan data penelitian ini melibatkan sembilan informan yaitu pengguna aplikasi iJateng yang pernah atau masih menggunakan. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik thematic analysis. Hasil analisis menunjukkan tiga tema terkait dengan pengalaman pemustaka. Tema pertama yaitu pengelolaan layout yang menggambarkan tentang pendapat pemustaka mengenai tampilan aplikasi iJateng. Aplikasi iJateng elemen gambar dan teks yang komunikatif, gambar yang ditampilkan memberikan pesan dan kesan serta
arti kepada pemustakanya. Pengorganisasian menu memudahkan pemustaka dalam menemukan informasi yang dibutuhkan. Tema kedua yaitu content yang membahas mengenai isi informasi yang diberikan oleh aplikasi iJateng. Content yang diberikan sudah relevan dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan penggunanya. Tema
ketiga yaitu aksesibilitas atau kemudahan dalam mengakses aplikasi iJateng. Pemustaka mudah untuk mengakses dan menelusur informasi di aplikasi iJateng didukung juga dengan navigasi atau petunjuk yang baik akan memudahkan pemustaka dalam memperoleh informasi yang dibutuhkan.
