Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi pustakawan referensi UPT Perpustakaan dalam mendukung penelitian di Universitas Diponegoro. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan metode pengambilan data melalui observasi dan wawancara. Wawancara dilakukan dengan teknik semi terstruktur dengan melibatkan empat informan yaitu tiga orang pustakawan dan satu orang kepala perpustakaan. Data yang didapatkan kemudian dianalisis menggunakan Thematic Analysis. Hasil analisis menunjukkan tiga tema yang berkaitan dengan kontribusi pustakawan dalam penelitian di Universitas Diponegoro. Tiga tema tersebut menunjukkan bahwa upaya pustakawan referensi untuk berkontribusi dalam penelitian baru sebatas sosialisasi dan pelatihan, pengolahan materi dan penelusuran materi. Temuan lain menunjukan tidak adanya Standard Operating Prosedure (SOP) untuk layanan referensi dan pustakawan referensi yang mengakibatkan tidak adanya kejelasan tugas pustakawan referensi sehingga pustakawan referensi tidak dapat berkonribusi secara maksimal dalam kegiatan penelitian yang dilakukan sivitas akademik di Universitas Diponegoro.
This research is aim to determinne the librarians contibution of the reference librarian in UPT Library to supporting research activities at Diponegoro University. Qualitative research methods used in this research with data collecting methods through observation and interviews. The interviews were conducted with a semi-structured technique involving four informants, namely three librarians and one head of library. The data obtained and analyzed using the thematic analysis. The results of the analysis indicates three themes related to the contributionof the librarian in the research at the Diponegoro University. The third themes shows that the efforts of reference librarians to contribute to research are limited to socialization and training, material processing and material tracking. The other findings indicate the abstance of Standard Operating Prosedure (SOP) forreference services and reference librarians resulting in the absance services and reference librarians resulting in the absence of clarity of duties for reference librarians so that the librarians cannot contribute maximally in research activities conducted by the academic community at Diponegoro University.
