Abstract

This research discusses the effect of giving reward to the utilization of collections
in the Library of Islamic School Hidayatullah Semarang. The purpose of this
research is to know whether there is an influence between giving reward to the
utilization of collections in the Library of Islamic SMA Hidayatullah Semarang or
no effect. The method used in this study is quantitatively descriptive by using a
sample of 89 respondents obtained using the purposive sampling method. Data
analysis in this study uses descriptive analysis and inferential statistical analysis.
The results showed that there was a link between the awarding of the collection of
collections in the Library of Islamic SMA Hidayatullah Semarang. The hypothesis
test was conducted by analyzing the results of the Pearson Product-Moment
correlation coefficient between the rewarded variable and the collection
utilization variable. The result obtained a significance value of 0.000 with a very
strong positive relationship rate of 0.706. The H0 rejection criterion is if it is a
significant value of α < 0.05, so H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected because it is
obtained a significance value that is smaller than 0.05. It can be concluded that
the awarding of the reward affects the utilization of collections in Islamic School
library Hidayatullah Semarang.
Penelitian ini membahas tentang pengaruh pemberian reward terhadap
pemanfaatan koleksi di Perpustakaan SMA Islam Hidayatullah Semarang. Tujuan
dari penelitian ini adalah untuk untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh
antara pemberian reward terhadap pemanfaatan koleksi di Perpustakaan SMA
Islam Hidayatullah Semarang atau tidak berpengaruh. Metode yang digunakan
dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan sampel
sebanyak 89 responden yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode purposive
sampling. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan
analisis statistik inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat
hubungan antara pemberian reward tehadap pemanfaatan koleksi di Perpustakaan
SMA Islam Hidayatullah Semarang. Uji hipotesis dilakukan dengan menganalisis
hasil koefisien korelasi Pearson Product-Moment antara variabel pemberian
reward dengan variabel pemanfaatan koleksi. Hasilnya didapatkan nilai
signifikansi sebesar 0,000 dengan tingkat hubungan positif yang sangat kuat
sebesar 0,706. Kriteria penolakan H0 adalah jika nilai signifikan α < 0,05,
sehingga H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak karena diperoleh nilai signifikansi yang lebih
kecil dari 0,05. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian reward berpengaruh
terhadap pemanfaatan koleksi di perpustakaan SMA Islam Hidayatullah
Semarang.
