Abstract

The library as an implementing unit within the tertiary institution has a function as
a supporting factor for improving the quality of tertiary institutions. This study
discusses the role of the Library in supporting the quality of institutions at
Diponegoro University. The purpose of this research is to find out how the role of
Library in supporting the quality of institutions at Diponegoro University. This
study uses qualitative methods, with data collection techniques used in this study
are observation, interviews and document studies. Informants were selected using
purposeful sampling, researchers obtained five informants who were right for the
purpose of the study. Based on the findings in this study the role played by the
Library of Diponegoro University to support the quality of tertiary institutions is to
apply the national library standards in library management, the collections
provided by the library are in accordance with the university's objectives while still
paying attention to the needs of the visitors. training for their human resources

Perpustakaan sebagai unit pelaksana di dalam lingkungan perguruan tinggi
memiliki fungsi sebagai salah satu faktor penunjang peningkatan kualitas perguruan
tinggi. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai peran UPT Perpustakaan dalam
menunjang kualitas institusi di Universitas Diponegoro. Tujuan dari penelitian ini
adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran yang dilakukan UPT Perpustakaan
dalam menunjang kualitas institusi di Universitas Diponegoro. Penelitian ini
menggunakan metode kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan
dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumen. Informan
dipilih dengan menggunakan purposeful sampling, peneliti memperoleh lima
informan yang tepat dengan tujuan penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil temuan dalam
penelitian ini peran yang dilakukan UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Diponegoro
untuk menunjang kualitas perguruan tinggi adalah dengan menerapkan standar
nasional perpustakaan dalam penyelenggaraan perpustakaan, koleksi yang
disediakan perpustakaan menyesuai dengan tujuan universitas namun juga
memperhatikan kebutuhan pemustaka dan UPT Perpustakaan Universitas
Diponegoro memberikan kesempatan bagi sumber daya manusia mereka untuk
mengikuti pelatihan.
