Abstract

Kabupaten Belik - Kabupaten Pemalang adalah penghasil nanas madu dengan kontribusi sekitar 27.162 ton per tahun di Jawa Tengah, merupakan produk unggulan, yang memiliki potensi besar dan andal untuk mengembangkan ekonomi daerah. Ada beberapa usaha kecil dan menengah yang memproduksi madu nanas olahan yang dibuat menjadi produk jus nanas, keripik nanas, dodol nanas dan juga beberapa usaha kecil dan menengah yang menjual nanas kupas. Kegiatan ini menghasilkan limbah kulit nanas madu yang cukup banyak, pemanfaatan limbah kulit nanas menjadi bioetanol diharapkan menjadi energi potensial untuk kebutuhan rumah tangga. Limbah kulit nanas mengandung kadar selulosa sekitar 12% sehingga berpotensi menjadi bioetanol dengan melakukan proses fermentasi dan destilasi. Satu kilogram buah nanas dapat menghasilkan 250 gram limbah kulit nanas, atau 1 ton dapat menghasilkan sekitar 250 kg limbah kulit kering. Penelitian ini menggunakan bahan baku limbah kulit nanas dengan metode fermentasi LSF (liquid state fermentation) dan proses destilasi. Menggunakan 2,5 Kg kulit dapat menghasilkan 1 liter bioetanol dengan kadar 95,13 % pada kulit basah dan kadar 95,66% pada kulit kering. Di Kecamatan Belik menghasilkan limbah kulit nanas sekitar 4.125 Kg per hari, maka dapat dihasilkan bioetanol sekitar 1.650 liter per hari.

Belik Regency - Pemalang Regency is a producer of honey pineapple with a contribution of around 27,162 tons per year in Central Java, which is a superior product, which has great potential and is reliable to develop the regional economy. There are several small and medium enterprises that produce processed pineapple honey which is made into pineapple juice products, pineapple chips, pineapple lunkhead and also several small and medium businesses that sell peeled pineapples. This activity produces quite a lot of honey pineapple skin waste, the utilization of pineapple skin waste into bioethanol is expected to be a potential energy for household needs. Pineapple peel waste contains cellulose content of around 12% so that it has the potential to become bioethanol by carrying out fermentation and distillation processes. One kilogram of pineapple fruit can produce 250 grams of pineapple peel waste, or 1 ton can produce about 250 kg of dry skin waste. This study used pineapple peel waste raw materials with the LSF (liquid state fermentation) fermentation method and the distillation process. Using 2.5 kg of skin can produce 1 liter of bioethanol with levels of 95.13% on wet skin and levels of 95.66% on dry skin. In Belik District, pineapple peel waste produces about 4,125 kg per day, so bioethanol can be produced around 1,650 liters per day.
