Abstract

The Tuberculosis Information System (SITB) is a national application used for recording and reporting Tuberculosis cases in Indonesia. The accuracy and completeness of SITB data rely heavily on the quality of user experience, particularly among health workers in primary care facilities. This study was conducted to identify aspects of SITB that potentially hinder user performance and the effectiveness of TB case management workflows. The objective of this research is to evaluate user experience and system usability using a combined approach of the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) and In-person Usability Testing. The study involved 30 respondents for the UEQ and five users for the usability testing. UEQ analysis showed that the dimensions of perspicuity (0.07), efficiency (0.42), and dependability (0.63) fell into the Bad category, while attractiveness (1.01) and novelty (0.92) ranged from Below Average to Above Average according to international Benchmarks. The usability testing results supported these findings, with low success rates on the Laboratory Result input task (40%) and Case finalization task (60%), as well as high error rates (50–66.7%). The analysis of respondent characteristics shows that age, gender, years of work experience, and duration of SITB use do not have a significant effect on UX scores. This study proposes several system improvement recommendations, including workflow simplification, enhanced status notifications, automated validation mechanisms, and improved interface structure. These findings contribute to efforts to enhance SITB quality and support accurate and timely TB case reporting in healthcare facilities.
