Abstract

The advancement of fingerprint technology has driven innovations in AI-based applications, one of which is Future Link. Future Link is a fingerprint analysis application that utilizes a mobile phone camera to perform online scanning. Despite offering convenience, the application faces challenges regarding user acceptance and satisfaction, particularly in terms of service package upgrades. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing users to upgrade their service packages in Future Link by integrating the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and End-User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS), while also introducing two additional variables: curiosity and buying intention. EUCS measures user satisfaction through the dimensions of content, accuracy, format, usefulness, and timeliness, while TAM evaluates technology acceptance through perceived usefulness, ease of use, and attitude toward usage. Data were collected through an online survey of 151 participants and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results of the study showed that eight out of nine hypotheses were accepted. Content, accuracy, ease of use, perceived usefulness, format, curiosity, attitude toward using, and user satisfaction were found to have a significant effect on users’ intention to upgrade their service package. One hypothesis was rejected, namely the effect of timeliness on attitude toward using, which was not statistically significant.
