Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji urgensi pengembangan aplikasi otomasi desain jaringan Fiber to the Home (FTTH) di PT Telkom Indonesia, didorong oleh kebutuhan internet berkecepatan tinggi yang terus meningkat dan permasalahan efisiensi dalam proses desain manual. Permasalahan utama meliputi waktu desain yang lama dan perhitungan biaya investasi yang tidak efisien, keterbatasan sumber daya tim Survey Design Inventory (SDI) menyebabkan penumpukan pesanan, serta potensi kehilangan pendapatan akibat keterlambatan keputusan proyek. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan aplikasi berbasis website yang mampu mengotomatisasi desain jaringan FTTH dan perhitungan biaya investasi secara akurat. Metode Design Thinking digunakan sebagai kerangka kerja utama, terintegrasi dengan Business Model Canvas (BMC) dan diperkuat oleh evaluasi heuristik. Tahap Empathize mengidentifikasi pain points pengguna melalui kuesioner dan wawancara. Tahap Define merumuskan masalah seperti ketidakseimbangan sumber daya dan urgensi otomasi. Tahap Ideate menghasilkan kebutuhan fungsional dan non-fungsional aplikasi. Prototipe dikembangkan menggunakan Laravel, JavaScript, dan MySQL. Hasil pengujian heuristik oleh lima pakar menunjukkan tingkat usabilitas yang sangat baik dengan rata-rata skor 0,13 (skala 0-4), mengindikasikan masalah minor atau kosmetik. Dampaknya, aplikasi ini berpotensi meningkatkan kecepatan dan akurasi desain, efisiensi sumber daya, serta kepuasan pelanggan dalam penyediaan layanan FTTH.

This research addresses the urgency of developing an automated Fiber to the Home (FTTH) network design application at PT Telkom Indonesia, driven by the increasing demand for high-speed internet and inefficiencies in manual design processes. Key problems include prolonged design and inaccurate investment cost calculation times, limited Survey Design Inventory (SDI) team resources leading to order backlogs, and potential revenue loss due to delayed FTTH network project decisions. This study aims to develop a web-based application capable of automating FTTH network design and accurately calculating investment costs. The Design Thinking method is employed as the primary framework, integrated with the Business Model Canvas (BMC) and reinforced by heuristic evaluation. The Empathize phase identified user pain points through questionnaires and interviews. The Define phase formulated problems such as resource imbalance and the urgency of automation. The Ideate phase generated functional and non-functional application requirements. The prototype was developed using Laravel, JavaScript, and MySQL. Heuristic evaluation results by five experts demonstrated excellent usability with an average score of 0.13 (on a 0-4 scale), indicating minor or cosmetic issues. The impact is that this application has the potential to enhance design speed and accuracy, resource efficiency, and customer satisfaction in FTTH service provisioning.
