Abstract

ABSTRAK
Program pembangunan yang terus berlangsung tidak hanya memberikan kemajuan ekonomi dan
teknologi, melainkan mendorong meningkatnya aktivitas eksploitasi lingkungan oleh manusia,
terutamanya pada kawasan desa hutan. Namun pada masyarakat desa hutan yang memegang nilai-nilai
keseimbangan antara ekonomi, ekologi dan sosial merupakan aset bagi pembangunan berkelanjutan.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan dan menganilis kepemilikan aset masyarakat desa hutan
dan strategi penghidupannya. Penelitian dilakukan pada masyarakat Desa Hutan di Desa Kucur,
Kecamatan Dau, Kabupaten Malang. Informan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 14 orang. Analisis data
dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan tabulasi sederhana untuk mempotret situasi dan kondisi wilayah
penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemilikan aset masyarakat Desa Hutan terdapat lima
aset yaitu aset alam, aset fisik, aset finansial, aset manusia dan aset sosial budaya. Selain itu, strategi
penghidupan yang dilakukan masyarakat desa hutan melalui sistem penghidupan ganda. Penghidupan
tersebut berasal dari bertani melalui sistem agroforestry pada lahan hutan rakyat, berternak dan
pekerjaan lainnya.

ABSTRACT
The ongoing development program not only provides economic and technological advances, but
also encourages increasing exploitation of human activities, especially in forest village areas. But for
the people there who holds the balance values between economic, ecological and social are assets for
sustainable development. The aim of this research is to describe and analyze the assets of forest village
community and livelihood strategy. The research was conducted on the forest village community of
Kucur Village, Dau District, Malang Regency. Informants of this research are 14 people. Data analysis
was conducted descriptively with simple tabulation that describe situations and conditions of research
area. The results showed that the ownership of assets in forest village community are contain five assets,
namely natural assets, physical assets, financial assets, human assets and socio-cultural assets. In
addition, livelihood strategies are carried out by forest village communities through multiple livelihood
systems. That livelihood comes from agriculture through the agroforestry system on community forest
land, farming and other occupations.
