Abstract

Onshore Processing Facilities merupakan salah satu industri yang bergerak di bidang pengolahan gas bumi. Total penggunaan gas bumi selama 4 tahun terakhir cenderung mengalami peningkatan sedangkan jumlah produksinya mengalami penurunan. OPF juga memanfaatkan energi listrik sebagai energi sekunder yang dihasilkan dari Gas Engine Generator. Pada saat ini kondisi peralatan yang terpasang seperti GEG, kompresor udara, HVAC, dan sistem penerangan gedung sudah berumur 8 tahun sehingga terdapat indikasi penurunan efisiensi pada peralatan tersebut. Selain itu kondisi GEG yang hanya menghasilkan listrik sekitar 30% dari kapasitasnya juga ditengarai menyebabkan rendahnya efisiensi dan pemborosan energi. Melihat hal tersebut maka perlu dilakukan audit energi guna mengetahui penggunaan energi dan potensi penghematan yang dapat dilakukan. Berdasarkan audit yang dilakukan Spesific Energy Consumption OPF mengalami peningkatan dari tahun 2019 sebesar 0,5 GJ/TOE menjadi 0,8 GJ/TOE pada tahun 2022, namun masih masuk kategori efisien. Sistem kompresor udara yang terpasang mempunyai efisiensi rata-rata sebesar 78,73%. Unit HVAC mempunyai nilai COP sebesar 3,35 dan masuk kategori efisien. Tingkat pencahayaan setiap ruangan pada gedung OPF belum memenuhi standar minimal yaitu berkisar 125 – 450 lux. Selain itu GEG mempunyai nilai efisiensi sebesar 26,9%. Nilai tersebut berada di bawah standar desainnya. Peluang penghematan yang dapat dilakukan berdasarkan audit yang telah dilakukan adalah dengan menurunkan tekanan udara kompresor sebesar 10 psig dapat menghemat energi 19.272 kWh per thaun. Kemudian pemasangan kapasitor bank sebesar 416 mikro farad pada sistem HVAC dapat meningkatkan nilai faktor daya dari 0,73 menjadi 0,95. Penggantian lampu pada gedung dengan tipe recess mounted 28 watt sebanyak 69 unit dapat memenuhi standar penerangan. Selain itu juga dapat menghemat energi sebesar 7805,16 kWh per tahun. Selanjutnya mengganti suplai listrik dari GEG menjadi listrik PLN akan menghemat biaya sebesar Rp 2.367.557.200 tiap tahun.

Onshore Processing Facilities is an industry that operates in the field of natural gas processing. The total use of natural gas over the last 4 years has tended to increase while the amount of production has decreased. OPF also utilizes electrical energy as secondary energy produced from Gas Engine Generator. Currently, the condition of installed equipment such as GEG, air compressors, HVAC and building lighting systems is 8 years old so there are indications of a decrease in the efficiency of this equipment. Apart from that, GEG's condition, which only produces electricity at around 30% of its capacity, is also suspected to cause low efficiency and waste of energy. Seeing this, it is necessary to carry out an energy audit to determine energy use and potential savings that can be made. Based on an audit conducted by Specific Energy Consumption, OPF has increased from 0.5 GJ/TOE in 2019 to 0.8 GJ/TOE in 2022, but is still in the efficient category. The installed air compressor system has an average efficiency of 78.73%. The HVAC unit has a COP value of 3.35 and is in the efficient category. The lighting level for each room in the OPF building does not meet the minimum standards, namely around 125 – 450 lux. Apart from that, GEG has an efficiency value of 26.9%. This value is below the design standard. The savings opportunity that can be made based on the audit that has been carried out is by reducing the compressor air pressure by 10 psig which can save 19,272 kWh of energy per year. Then installing a capacitor bank of 416 micro farads in the HVAC system can increase the power factor value from 0.73 to 0.95. Replacing 69 units of lights in the building with the 28 watt recess mounted type can meet lighting standards. Apart from that, it can also save energy of 7805.16 kWh per year. Furthermore, changing the electricity supply from GEG to PLN electricity will save costs of IDR 2,367,557,200 per year.
