Abstract

Rembang Regency is located at the eastern end of Central Java Province and is one of
the Pantura routes directly adjacent to the Java Sea. Rembang Regency has attractive
tourist destinations, which are incorporated into five types of tourism, namely natural
tourism, historical tourism, cultural tourism, religious tourism, and culinary tourism.
However, tourism promotion in Rembang Regency is not yet optimal so that it is not
widely known by people from other regions. Therefore, it is important to increase tourism
promotional media to reach the public's knowledge of tourism in Rembang Regency, one
of which is by creating a bilingual tourism booklet. This research was conducted to
determine the importance of a bilingual tourism booklet for Rembang Regency and to
explain the process of creating this booklet. In this research, a bilingual tourism booklet
of Rembang Regency was created using the Research and Development (R&D) method
which included eight stages. The results of this research indicated that the bilingual
tourism booklet of Rembang Regency was declared feasible as a tourism promotional
media. It can be seen from the results of the interval calculation obtained from
respondents' responses through Google Form. Then, the bilingual tourism booklet of
Rembang Regency which went through all stages was submitted to Dinas Kebudayaan
dan Pariwisata Kabupaten Rembang and registered for Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
