Abstract

The project is titled "CREATING A PROMOTIONAL VIDEO FOR PATIAYAM
ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE MUSEUM (FOR EXCAVATION SITE)." The main
goal is to produce promotional videos with narration in foreign languages,
especially United Kingdom, as well as translations in Indonesian, to help local and
international tourists obtain information about the collection at the Patiayam
Archaeological Site Museum. The project was driven by the absence of promotional
videos for the museum in foreign languages, particularly English This research uses
the Research and Development (R&D) method, adopting the Borg and Gall model
consisting of eight stages: Identification of potential and problems, Data collection,
Product design, Design validation, Design revision, Product testing, Product
revision, and Final product. This project was conducted at the Patiayam
Archaeological Site Museum in Central Java. Data collection techniques include
observation, interviews, and documentation, with the employees of the Patiayam
Archaeological Site Museum as research subjects. The result of this project is a
promotional video with narration in English and translation in Indonesian, which
will be published on the YouTube platform. This video showcases several locations
in the Patiayam Archaeological Site Museum, providing an overview of the
museum and featuring the core collections for the promotion of the Patiayam
Archaeological Site Museum.
