Abstract

In today’s increasingly globalized world, the demand for professionals who can
navigate international career opportunities is on the rise. However, many individuals, including
trainees from BBPVP Semarang, face challenges in understanding the steps and preparations
necessary to secure jobs in the global market. Given the importance of structured guidance in
this area, a comprehensive bilingual guidebook was developed to assist trainees in overcoming
these challenges and achieving success in their international career pursuits.
The guidebook aims to help BBPVP Semarang trainees prepare for international
careers by providing structured and practical guidance on securing job opportunities in the
global market. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) methodology,
which included several stages such as needs analysis, design, development, and field testing.
Data were gathered through questionnaires distributed to BBPVP Semarang trainees and
alumni, with feedback used to improve the guidebook's content and design.
The results of the main field testing show that all aspects of the guidebook, including
content, linguistic, and visual design, were rated "Very Good" by the respondents. Content
aspects such as relevance, usefulness, and practicality were highly appreciated, with a score of
4.00. Linguistically, most elements also received a score of 4.00, although language
appropriateness for the target audience was rated slightly lower at 3.90, indicating minor room
for improvement. In terms of design, all aspects related to layout, color scheme, and visual
elements scored 4.00. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the guidebook meets the
expected criteria and provides significant value in preparing individuals for international
careers.
