Abstract

The title of this project is "CREATING PROMOTIONAL VIDEO FOR PATIAYAM
ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE MUSEUM TO INCREASE TOURISTS' INTEREST." The
objective of this project is to develop a promotional video with voice overs in foreign
languages, particularly in English, and translations in Indonesia Language to assist both
local and international tourists in obtaining information about the collections of Patiayam
Archaeological Site Museum. This project is motivated by the absence of a promotional
video for Patiayam Archaeological Site Museum in foreign languages, especially English.
The method employed is the Research And Development (R&D) type with the application
of the Borg and Gall model, consisting of 8 steps: Potential and problems, Data collection,
Product design, Design validation, Design revision, Product testing, Product revision, and
Final product. The project is conducted at Patiayam Archaeological Site Museum in
Central Java. Data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, and
documentation. This research was conducted using the research and development method
and used a Likert-scale questionnaire involving respondents from the staff and the public
to assess aspects of content, audiovisual, and linguistic. The result of this project is a
promotional video with voice overs in English and translations in Indonesia Language
distributed on the YouTube platform. The promotional video showcases the spots in
Patiayam Archaeological Site Museum, general information about the museum, and the
collections that will be the topic of the promotional video for Patiayam Archaeological Site
Museum.
