Abstract
Global economies have been established on currencies. The economic behavior of an individual is greatly influenced by their financial situation. By establishing QRIS as a payment option, the digital economy’s foundation is strengthened. The transaction experience with QRIS is more useful, secure, and effective. In order to better understand the legal protection of QRIS payments for both consumers and business actors, this study will look at how QRIS is used as a digital payment tool in Indonesian commercial transactions. Using a Normative Jurisdiction approach, the author of this paper examines the connections between legal norms and makes reference to Members of the Board of Governors No. 21/18/PADG/2019, Bank Indonesia Regulation No. 20/6/PBI/2018, and Law No. 7 of 2011. The analysis’s findings demonstrate that, by decreasing industrial fragmentation in the payment sector, QRIS contributes to the integration of the country’s digital economy and
fosters the expansion of MSMEs. Raising public awareness and educating the public are necessary in order to increase the use of QRIS.
