Abstract

This research uses an approach that integrates the technology acceptance model and structural equation model for the accuracy of measuring the level of acceptance of webcast-based e-learning systems as an alternative to paid video conferencing applications. The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) is used to understand how users accept and use technology involving two main constructs, namely Perceived Usefulness and Perceived Ease of Use. Structural equation model (SEM) was used as the analysis method to investigate technology acceptance. The analytical tool used was Analysis of Moment Structures (AMOS), a software that facilitates structural equation modelling and hypothesis testing. With SEM and AMOS, this study can analyse the relationship between various variables that affect the level of acceptance of webcast-based e-learning technology. The quantitative research method used a survey with data collection through questionnaires and obtained 136 respondents on functional position training participants at the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). The collected data were analysed to test the relationship between factors affecting technology acceptance. Hypothesis testing has successfully analysed the relationships contained in the proposed structural model. Data analysis of the 10 hypotheses tested showed that 8 hypotheses were accepted and 2 hypotheses were rejected, namely hypothesis 6 and hypothesis 7. These results indicate that the level of acceptance of webcast-based e-learning applications at BRIN is positif. Where it is shown that user perceptions of ease of use, usefulness, attitude, intention, and use of webcasts contribute significantly to the acceptance and use of webcast-based e-learning that is more effective and efficient.
