Abstract

Abstrak
PT. Pertamina RU IV Cilacap merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang minyak
bumi dan gas dengan kapasitas produksi terbesar yaitu 348.000 barrel/hari. Kilang
ini menghasilkan emisi pencemaran udara konvensional dari hasil pembakaran
sempurna dan tidak sempurna, berupa CO2, H2O, HC, CO, SOx dan NOx. PT.
Pertamina RU IV Cilacap berlokasi cukup dekat dengan pemukiman masyarakat
sehingga berpotensi meningkatan polusi atmosfer lokal serta dampak negatif bagi
ekosistem dan masyarakat sekitar. Selain itu, PT. Pertamina RU IV Cilacap berencana
meningkatkan kapasitas produksi yang dapat meningkatkan emisi udara. Maka dari
itu, diperlukan alat pengendali pencemaran udara. Penulisan perancangan ini
bertujuan untuk membuat desain alat pengendali pencemaran udara pada Boiler dan
Heater unit 101 dan 105 RFCC dengan mengacu pada Peraturan Menteri Lingkungan
Hidup dan Kehutanan No. 13 Tahun 2009. Hasil dari perancangan ini yaitu boiler dan
heater menghasilkan 4 jenis polutan emisi antara lain NO2, SO2, CO, dan Partikulat
(TSP). Alat Pengendali Pencemaran Udara yang akan digunakan adalah Wet Scrubber
jenis Packed Tower dengan efisiensi removal sebesar 90-99%, yang mampu
mengurangi konsentrasi emisi SO2: 90%, NO2: 80%, dan Partikulat: 99%.

Abstrack
PT. Pertamina RU IV Cilacap is a company engaged in the oil and gas sector with the
largest production capacity of 348,000 barrels per day. This refinery produces
conventional air pollution emissions from both complete and incomplete combustion,
including CO2, H2O, HC, CO, SOx, and NOx. PT. Pertamina RU IV Cilacap is located
quite close to residential areas, which has the potential to increase local atmospheric
pollution and negatively impact the surrounding ecosystem and community.
Additionally, PT. Pertamina RU IV Cilacap plans to increase production capacity,
which could increase air emissions. This design aims to create an air pollution control
for Boiler and Heater units 101 and 105 RFCC, in accordance with the Regulation of the
Minister of Environment and Forestry No. 13 of 2009. The design results show that the
boiler and heater produce four types of pollutant emissions: NO2, SO2, CO, and
Particulates (TSP). The air pollution control device to be used is a Packed Tower Wet
Scrubber with a removal efficiency of 90-99%, capable of reducing SO2 emissions by
90%, NO2 by 80%, and Particulates by 99%.
