Abstract

Science of Animal Breeding is the given subject for the student in Faculty
of Animal Agriculture, Diponegoro University. All students have to understand
Genetics and Statistics before proceeding to animal breeding completely. It
also seems to be the gap between genetics and quantitative genetics in which
students often find difficulty to study. On the basis of that reason, it is prepared
the series of chapter of the handout in order that student easy to understand
the subject of animal breeding.
This handout is constructed for teaching-learning in international class.
The object of the handout is to explain the principles of animal breeding to
improve genetic quality of animal agriculture in step by step. It is hoped that
this handout will provide reference for lecturer to teach animal breeding, as
well as will provide information for student on how to study it.
