Abstract

Protein Bioaktif Hasil Fermentasi Biji Jagung pada Pakan Standar terhadap
Pertumbuhan dan Kelulushidupan Udang Vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei).
Subandiyono dan Slamet Budi Prayitno).
Udang vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei) dianggap sebagai spesies udang
budidaya utama di seluruh dunia komoditas bernilai tinggi. Protein bioaktif dengan
asam organik dan metabolit hasil proses fermentasi akan bermanfaat untuk
meningkatkan pertumbuhan udang. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
mengevaluasi penambahan 7,5% protein bioaktif hasil fermentasi biji jagung pada
pakan yang mengandung tepung ikan dan tepung unggas untuk mengoptimalka n
pertumbuhan dan kelangsunagn hidup udang. Penelitian dilakukan pada tanggal 11
April - 11 Juni 2021 di Marine Science Techno Park (MSTP) Undip Jepara.
Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode eksperimental menggunakan Rancangan
Acak Lengkap dengan 5 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan yang terdiri dari A (Pakan komersil),
B (Formula I ), C (Formula II), D (Formula III) dan E (Formula IV). Pemberian pakan
dilakukan setiap hari sebanyak empat kali pada pagi, siang, sore dan malam hari.
Pengukuran kualitas air dilakukan dua kali sehari pada pagi dan sore hari. Udang
vaname yang digunakan yaitu berat 1 ± 0,09 g dengan padat tebar setiap akuarium
ukuran 50 x 50 sebanyak 15 udang. Parameter yang diamati meliputi , Total Konsumsi
Pakan, Rasio Konversi Pakan, Efisiensi Pemanfaatan Pakan, Laju Pertumbuha n
Relatif, Rasio Konversi Protein, dan Kelangsungan hidup.
Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan penambahan protein bioaktif berupa
tepung fermentasi biji jagung pada formulasi pakan buatan udang vaname memberika n
pengaruh tidak nyata terhadap Total Konsumsi Pakan (45,32 gram), Rasio Konversi
Pakan (0,24), Efisiensi Pemanfaatan Pakan (29,11%), Laju Pertumbuhan Relatif (0,22
gram), Rasio Konversi Protein (9,69 gram), dan berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap
kelangsungan hidup. Dosis optimum yang didapatkan dari penambahan protein
bioaktif berupa fermentasi biji jagung sebanyak 7,5% menghasilkan nila i
kelulushidupan 100,00±0.00%

ABSTRACT

Bioactive Protein from Fermented Corn Seeds in Standard Feed on the Growth and
Survival of Vaname Shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei). Subandiyono and Slamet Budi
Prayitno).
Vannamei shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) are recognized as a major species of
cultured shrimp worldwide and hold significant economic value. Bioactive proteins,
along with organic acids and metabolic byproducts from fermentation, have the
potential to enhance shrimp growth. Hence, this aims to evaluate the addition of 7.5%
bioactive protein from corn seed quenching in feeds containing fish meal and poultry
meal to optimize shrimp growth and survival. The research was conducted from April
11 to June 11, 2021, at the Marine Science Techno Park (MSTP), Diponegoro
University, Jepara.
The study followed an experimental approach, utilizing a Completely
Randomized Design with 5 treatments and 3 replications: A (Commercial feed), B
(Formula I), C (Formula II), D (Formula III), and E (Formula IV). Feeding was
administered four times a day: morning, noon, afternoon, and evening. Water quality
measurements were taken twice daily in the morning and afternoon. Each aquarium,
measuring 50 x 50, housed 15 vannamei shrimp weighing 1 ± 0,09 g each. Parameters
observed included Total Feed Consumption, Feed Conversion Ratio, Feed Utilization
Efficiency, Relative Growth Rate, Protein Conversion Ratio, and Survival Rate.
Based on the research findings, the addition of bioactive protein in the form of
fermented corn seed meal to the artificial diet formulation for vannameishrimp showed
insignificant effects on Total Feed Consumption (45,32 gram), Feed Conversion Ratio
(0,24), Feed Utilization Efficiency (29,11%), Relative Growth Rate (0,22 gram), and
Protein Conversion Ratio (9,69 gram). However, it significantly impacted (P<0.05)
the survival rate. The optimal dosage of 7.5% bioactive protein obtained from
fermented corn seeds resulted in a survival rate value of 100.00±0.00%.
