Widowati dan Gunawan Widi Santosa).
Pemanfaatan sumberdaya ikan memiliki masalah kurang selektifnya
berbagai jenis alat tangkap yang digunakan oleh para nelayan. Akibatnya
tertangkapnya ikan-ikan yang bukan menjadi tujuan penangkapan berakhir
dibuang ke laut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komposisi,
karakteristik dan jenis hasil tangkapan sampingan dari nelayan rajungan Desa
Danasari. Penelitian dilakukan pada 31 Mei 2022 – 22 Juni 2022. Sampel diambil
dari 20 titik koordinat selama proses penangkapan rajungan Bersama nelayan di
sepanjang perairan Desa Danasari. Parameter yang diukur meliputi identifikasi,
pengelompokan, komposisi hasil tangkapan sampingan dan parameter kualitas
perairan. Kondisi ekologis spesies tangkapan sampingan ditentukan berdasarkan
indeks keanekaragaman, indeks keseragaman, dan indeks dominansi melalui
analisis data komposisi hasil tangkapan sampingan. Komposisi hasil tangkapan
sampingan dikelompokkan berdasarkan nilai ekonomis. Total komposisi hasil
tangkapan sampingan dari perairan di Desa Danasari terdiri 19 spesies berasal dari
4 subfilum yaitu Crustacea, Mollusca, Vertebrata dan Echinodermata. Kondisi
ekologis di perairan tersebut relatif seimbang dan tidak dipengaruhi oleh kegiatan
penangkapan. Komposisi hasil tangkapan sampingan berdasarkan nilai ekonomis
dari para nelayan rajungan didominasi oleh tangkapan yang dibuang kembali
(discard) yaitu sebanyak 47%.

Utilization of fish resources has the problem of being less selective in the
various types of fishing gear used by fishermen. As a result, fish caught that are
not intended for fishing end up being thrown into the sea. This study aims to
determine the composition, characteristicss and types of by-catch from small crab
fishermen in Danasari Village. The research was conducted on 31 May 2022 – 22
June. Samples were taken from 20 coordinate points during the crab catching
process with fishermen along the waters of Danasari Village. Parameters
measured included identification, grouping, by-catch composition, and water
quality parameters. The ecological condition of the by-catch species is determined
based on the diversity index, uniformity index, and dominance index through
analysis of by-catch composition data. By-catch composition is grouped based on
economic value. The total composition of by-catch from the waters in Danasari
Village consists of 19 species from 4 subphyla, namely Crustacea, Mollusca,
Vertebrata and Echinodermata. Ecological conditions in these waters are
relatively balanced and are not affected by fishing activities. The composition of
by-catch based on the economic value of small crab fishermen is dominated by
discarded catches, which is 47%.
