Abstract

ABSTRAK
(Muhammad Azizi Dirgantara Buana Nata. 26050119130041. Analisis
Kandungan Logam Berat Timbal (Pb) dan Seng (Zn) pada Sedimen di Sekitar
PLTU Batang. Muslim dan Lilik Maslukah).
Kawasan pesisir Kabupaten Batang dimanfaatkan untuk menjadi tambak,
pemukiman, kawasan wisata, industri dan sebagai Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap
(PLTU). Meningkatnya aktivitas di wilayah pesisir pantai dapat menimbulkan
peningkatan kandungan logam berat. Limbah yang dihasilkan pembakaran batubara
memiliki kandungan logam berat yang berbahaya untuk lingkungan. Tujuan dari
penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui konsentrasi logam berat timbal (Pb) dan
seng (Zn) di dalam sedimen di perairan Kabupaten Batang dan hubungannya
dengan jenis sedimen. Wilayah penelitian terletak pada 109°48’32.95” –
109°48’14.01” BT dan 6°53’59.15” – 6°53’15.40” LS. Data yang digunakan adalah
sedimen dasar perairan Batang yang diambil pada September 2022. Analisis
kandungan logam berat Pb dan Zn diperoleh dengan serapan atom dengan
menggunakan metode Spektrofotometer Serapan Atom (SSA). Hasil penelitian ini
menunjukkan bahwa kandungan logam berat timbal (Pb) berkisar antara 3,62 – 8,11
mg/Kg dengan rata-rata sebesar 5,07 mg/Kg dan kandungan logam berat seng (Zn)
berkisar antara 20,97 – 45,45 mg/Kg dengan rata-rata sebesar 28,32 mg/Kg.
Sebaran sedimen dasar perairan didominasi oleh jenis pasir dan lanau. Jenis
sedimen dasar perairan tidak mempengaruhi kandungan logam berat pada sedimen
dasar.

ABSTRACT

of Lead (Pb) and Zinc (Zn) Heavy Metal Content in Sediments around Batang
Steam Power Plant. Muslim and Lilik Maslukah).
The coastal area of Batang Regency is utilized to become ponds,
settlements, tourist areas, industry and even as a power plant. Increased activity in
coastal areas can lead to increased the heavy metal concentration. The waste
produced by burning coal contains heavy metals which are harmful to the
environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the concentration of the
heavy metals lead (Pb) and zinc (Zn) in the sediments in the waters of Batang
Regency. The research area is located at 109°48’32.95” – 109°48’14.01” East
Longitude and 6°53’59.15” – 6°53’15.40” South Latitude. The data used is the
bottom sediments of Batang waters taken in September 2022. Analysis of the content
of heavy metals Pb and Zn was obtained by atomic absorption with the Atomic
Absoption Spectrophotometry (AAS) methods. The results of this study indicate that
the heavy metal lead (Pb) content ranges from 3.62 – 8.11 mg/Kg with an average
of 5.07 mg/Kg and the heavy metal zinc (Zn) content ranges from 20.97 – 45.45
mg/Kg with an average of 28.32 mg/Kg. The distribution of marine sediments is
dominated by sand and silt. The type of bottom sediment does not affect the heavy
metal content in the marine sediments.
