Abstract

ABSTRAK
(Clara Kafilla Susanto. 26010119130048. Pola Osmoregulasi dan
Pertumbuhan Udang Jerbung (Penaeus merguiensis) di Perairan Tambak Lorok,
Semarang. Suryanti dan Churun ‘Ain).
Salinitas merupakan faktor pembatas bagi organisme akuatik salah satunya
udang. Salinitas mempengaruhi tingkat kerja osmotik (TKO) udang terhadap
mekanisme osmoregulasi, pencernaan dan penyerapan makanan, serta
pertumbuhan udang. Dalam proses osmoregulasi udang memerlukan energi
berlebih, sehingga energi untuk pertumbuhan berkurang. Tujuan dari kegiatan
penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji pola osmoregulasi dan pertumbuhan udang di
perairan Tambak Lorok, Semarang. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juli 2022
hingga Januari 2023 yang berlokasi di Perairan Tambak Lorok, Tanjungmas,
Semarang Utara, Kota Semarang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan, yaitu
deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel diambil dari 3
stasiun yang berbeda, yaitu muara sungai (stasiun 1), area budidaya kerang hijau
(stasiun 2) dan pelabuhan (stasiun 3). Data panjang dan berat udang yang
didapatkan dianalisis regresi untuk mengetahui sifat pertumbuhan udang,
sedangkan data osmolaritas dianalisis dengan memasukkan ke dalam rumus untuk
mengetahui TKO, pola osmoregulasi dan salinitas isoosmotik udang. Hasil
penelitian yang didapatkan, yaitu TKO udang jerbung di perairan Tambak Lorok
berkisar antara 56 – 86 mOsm/kg H2O. Osmolaritas media berkisar antara 964 –
994 mOsm/kg H2O, sedangkan osmolaritas haemolymph sebesar 904 – 911
mOsm/kg H2O. Salinitas isoosmotik udang jerbung yaitu antara 30,99 – 31,22‰.
Ion yang mendominasi perairan adalah Cl- dan Na+. Nilai b yang didapatkan dari
analisis regresi sebesar 1,430 – 2,917. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pola osmoregulasi
udang jerbung di perairan Tambak Lorok bersifat hipoosmotik ditunjukkan dengan
nilai osmolaritas media lebih tinggi dibandingkan nilai osmolaritas haemolymph,
sedangkan sifat pertumbuhannya allometrik negatif ditunjukkan dengan nilai b < 3.
Pertumbuhan panjang udang jerbung lebih cepat dibandingkan pertambahan
beratnya.

Growth of White Shrimp (Penaeus merguiensis) in Tambak Lorok Waters,
Semarang. Suryanti dan Churun ‘Ain).
Salinity is a limiting factor for aquatic organisms including shrimp. Salinity
affects the osmotic work level (OWL) of shrimp on osmoregulation mechanisms,
digestion and absorption of food, as well as shrimp growth. In the process of
osmoregulation, shrimp certainly requires excess energy, then the energy for
growth is reduced. The purpose of this research activity was to study the pattern of
osmoregulation and growth of shrimp in the waters of Tambak Lorok, Semarang.
This research was conducted from July 2022 to January 2023 which is located in
Tambak Lorok Waters, Tanjungmas, North Semarang, Semarang City. This
research used descriptive quantitative method with purposive sampling technique.
Samples were taken from 3 different stations, that is river estuary (station 1), green
mussel cultivation area (station 2) and the port (station 3). The shrimp length and
weight data obtained were analyzed by regression to determine the growth
characteristics of the shrimp, while the osmolarity data were analyzed by inserting
into the formula to determine OWL, osmoregulation patterns and isoosmotic
salinity of shrimp. The research results obtained were that the OWL of white shrimp
in Tambak Lorok waters ranged from 56 – 86 mOsm/kg H2O. The osmolarity of
media ranges from 964 – 994 mOsm/kg H2O, while the osmolarity of haemolymph
is 904 – 911 mOsm/kg H2O. The isoosmotic salinity of the white shrimp is between
30.99 – 31.22‰. The ions that dominate the waters are Cl- and Na+. The b value
obtained from the regression analysis is 1.430 – 2.917. It can be concluded that the
pattern of osmoregulation of white shrimp in Tambak Lorok waters is hypoosmotic
indicated by the osmolarity value of the media being higher than the osmolarity
value of haemolymph, while the growth characteristic is negative allometric
indicated by the value of b < 3. The growth in length of the white shrimp is faster
than the increase in weight.
