Abstract

ABSTRAK
(Faruq Tian Agung Wijaya. 26010118130097.
Kecamatan Sayung, Kabupaten Demak.
LH RI No 201/2004 dan menentukan tingkat kerusakan mangrove berdasarkan
analisis NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index).
perubahan kerapatan mangrove menggunakan citra satelit sentinel 2-A selama 5
3,69 ha.

ABSTRACT
Faruq Tian Agung Wijaya. 26010118130097. Analysis of Mangrove
Canopy Density and Cover for Estimating the Causes of Damage to Mangrove
Ecosystems That Happened in Bedono Village, Sayung District, Demak Regency
Agus Hartoko and Oktavianto Eko Jati).
Demak Regency is one of the areas in Indonesia which has a coastal area
with potential for mangrove forests. Changes in coastal ecosystems such as coastal
erosion is one of the problems faced by the Bedono area. The research was
conducted in September 2022 which aims to determine the condition of the
mangroves damaged by tidal floods and their environmental conditions as well as
the density and cover of the mangrove canopy in Bedono Village, Sayung District,
Demak Regency. The method used in this study is the method of analyzing satellite
imagery with Sentinel-2A imagery. The field data collection method is carried out
through direct observation by determining the station according to the location
conditions. The data collection method utilizes the Point Centered Quarter Method
(PCQM) with reference to Ministerial Decree of the Republic of Indonesia No.
201/2004, and determines the level of mangrove damage based on the analysis of
Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI). The hemispherical photography
method is employed for processing using field photography techniques to measure
the mangrove canopy cover. The results showed that there was a change in
mangrove density using Sentinel 2-A satellite imagery for 5 years from 2016 – 2021
in the rare category of 3,26 ha, while the moderate category experienced a change
of 0,76 ha, and the dense category experienced a change of 0,71 ha. The results of
the 2016 NDVI mangrove index values were divided into 3 categories, in the rare
category ranging from 0.002 - 0.33 and in the medium category 0.34 - 0.62 and the
dense category 0.63 - 0.99, while the NDVI mangrove index value in 2016 2021 in
the rare category ranging from 0.01 – 0.28 and the medium category ranging from
0.29 – 0.42 then the meeting category ranging from 0.43 – 0.95. The coastline
damage from 2016 – 2021 experienced abrasion of 3,69 ha.
