Pertumbuhan dan Kelulushidupan Benih Ikan Bawal Air Tawar (Colossoma

Ketersediaan tepung ikan sebagai bahan baku pakan buatan dinilai semakin
terbatas yang disebabkan oleh menurunnya hasil tangkapan ikan di lautan. Upaya
yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengurangi penggunaan tepung ikan adalah dengan
subtitusi tepung ikan menggunakan tepung maggot pada pakan buatan. Penelitian
ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan tepung maggot (Hermetia
illucens) sebagai subtitusi tepung ikan pada pakan buatan terhadap pertumbuhan
dan kelulushidupan benih bawal (Colossoma macropomum) serta mengetahui rasio
kombinasi terbaik. Penelitian dilakukan di Laboratorium Pengujian Kesehatan Ikan
dan Lingkungan (LPKIL) Muntilan, Magelang pada bulan Januari – Maret 2023
dengan lama pemeliharaan selama 42 hari. Ikan uji yang digunakan adalah benih
bawal (C. macropomum) dengan panjang rata-rata 6,24±0,06 cm dan bobot rata
rata 3,78±0,04 g. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan
Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) terdiri atas 4 perlakuan dengan 3 kali ulangan,
yakni dengan subtitusi tepung ikan dengan tepung maggot sebagai berikut: A (0%),
B (25%), C (50%), dan D (75%). Variabel yang diukur meliputi Total Konsumsi
Pakan (TKP), Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR), Efisiensi Pemanfaatan Pakan (EPP),
Protein Efficiency Ratio (PER), Relative Growth Rate (RGR), Survival Rate (SR),
dan Kualitas Air. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa rasio kombinasi subtitusi
tepung ikan dan tepung maggot yang berbeda berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap
TKP, FCR, EPP, PER, dan RGR, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap
SR. Perlakuan C (kombinasi subtitusi 50% tepung ikan: 50% tepung maggot)
memperoleh hasil terbaik pada TKP, FCR, EPP, PER, RGR, SR yaitu sebesar
215,64 g; 1,43; 68,82%; 2,15%; 6,19%/hari; 97,78%. Kualitas air pada media
pemeliharaan terdapat pada kisaran yang layak untuk pemeliharaan ikan uji.

Substitution with Maggot (Hermetia illucens) Meal on Artificial Feed on the
Growth and Survival of Tambaqui fish (Colossoma macropomum) Seeds. Diana

The availability of fish meal as a raw material for artificial feed is considered
to be limited due to a decrease in fish catches in the ocean. Efforts that can be made
to reduce the use of fish meal are by substituting fish meal with maggot flour in
artificial feed. This study aims to determine the effect of adding maggot flour
(Hermetia illucens) as a substitute for fish meal in artificial feed on the growth and
survival of Tambaqui seeds (Colossoma macropomum) and to determine the best
combination ratio. The research was conducted at the Muntilan Fish Health and
Environmental Testing Laboratory (LPKIL), Magelang in January - March 2023
with a rearing period of 42 days. The test fish used were Tambaqui (C.
macropomum) with an average length of 6,24±0,06 cm and an average weight of
3,78±0,04 g. This study used an experimental method with a completely randomized
design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments with 3 replications, namely by substituting
fish meal with maggot flour as follows: A (0%), B (25%), C (50%), and D (75%).
Variables measured include Total Feed Consumption (TKP), Feed Conversion
Ratio (FCR), Feed Utilization Efficiency (EPP), Protein Efficiency Ratio (PER),
Relative Growth Rate (RGR), Survival Rate (SR), and Water Quality. The results
showed that the ratio of different substitution combinations of fish meal and maggot
flour had a significant effect (P<0.05) on TKP, FCR, EPP, PER, and RGR, but had
no significant effect (P>0.05) on SR. Treatment C (combination of 50% substitution
of fish meal: 50% maggot flour) obtained the best results at TKP, FCR, EPP, PER,
RGR, SR, namely 215,64 g; 1,43; 68,82%; 2,15%; 6,19%/day; 97,78%. The quality
of the water in the rearing medium is in the proper range for the maintenance of
test fish.
