The Bulan Terbelah Di Langit Amerika is a novel that presents an
understanding of the problems that occur in the interactions between these groups.
This novel raises several problems that exist in society. This research on the novel
Bulan Terbelah Di Langit Amerika aims to reveal the social criticism contained in
the novel Bulan Terbelah Di Langit Amerika by Hanum Salsabiela Rais and Rangga
Almahendra through a sociological review of the literature. The object of this
research in the novel Bulan Terbelah Di Langit Amerika by Hanum Salsabiela Rais
and Rangga Almahendra which was published in 2014. The method used in this study
is a qualitative descriptive method, with content analysis techniques, namely,
revealing and then describing the intrinsic elements what, and how. social criticism
contained in the novel.
The results of this study are the structural elements contained in on the novel
Bulan Terbelah Di Langit Amerika which include; characters and characterizations,
plot and plotting, as well as setting or social criticism contained in the novel Bulan
Terbelah Di Langit Amerika by Hanum Salsabiela Rais and Rangga Almahendra
which includes; first, social criticism of the destruction of religion and second, social
criticism of the profession.
