Abstract
The Naẓam Naṣiḥat manuscript is a collection of manuscripts from KH. Nasrun,
caregiver of the Al-Mansur Popongan Islamic Boarding School, Klaten, Central
Java, which has been digitized. The text of the NN manuscript contains advice that
is in accordance with Islamic religious knowledge, so that it can be used as an
example in order to live in society and have a family properly and correctly
according to Islamic law. This study will focus on analyzing the content of the text
of the NN manuscript.
This research was conducted using philological theory and pragmatic
methods. Philological theory is used to edit the text with steps in the form of
manuscript inventory, manuscript description, text transliteration, editing and
translation. While the pragmatic method is used to explore the benefits contained
in the content of the text. Then the research data will be presented in descriptive
form.
The results of the analysis of the NN manuscript based on philological
research indicate that the NN manuscript when the research was conducted was a
single manuscript, while the results obtained were based on a pragmatic approach,
namely advice; first, advice for children, namely that children are devoted to their
parents and seek knowledge. Second, the advice for parents, namely parents must
avoid being stingy and think about themselves, teach manners, marry off children
who are old enough, and apply four things that can make their lives lucky.
