Abstract

Pembangunan TPST berbasis Material Recovery Facility (MRF).

ABSTRACT
Waste generation in Magelang city in 2022 reached 70 tons/day. The amount of
waste generated every day is not accompanied by public awareness to sort waste.
As a result, waste is directly disposed of to the landfill and has caused Banyuurip
landfill to become overloaded since 2017. Related to this problem, an effective
waste management is needed as a reutilization effort to reduce waste generation
in the form of Material Recovery Facility (MRF) based. In MRF, 3 waste
processing methods are carried out, namely Refused Derived Fuel (RDF), Black
Soldier Fly (BSF), and Metal and Glass Sales. With these processing methods,
waste can be reduced by 64.82 tons/day from the total amount of waste of 74.42
tons/day or 87.1% of the total weight of waste in Magelang City with a residue of
9.6 tons/day. The cost incurred to build MRF is Rp9.508.132.101,97, and the cost
of basic equipment incurred is Rp7.612.669.410.00. Operational and mantainance
costs for equipment, employee salaries, and staff equipment amounted to
Rp5.034.481.716,00. The cost of MRF production produced in a year is
Rp5205.962.149,00. So that the profit obtained in 2023 is Rp152.617.585.
