Mangrove merupakan komunitas tumbuhan atau individu jenis tumbuhan yang dapat membentuk komunitas tumbuhan tersebut di daerah pasang surut. Gastropoda termasuk ke dalam kelas dari filum Moluska dan hidup menempel pada batang, akar mangrove dan pada permukaan substrat. Pantai Tirang sebagai salah satu objek wisata pesisir dan memiliki kawasan ekosistem mangrove yang terletak di desa Tambak rejo kecamatan Tugu, kota Semarang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara diameter tegakan terhadap gastropoda yang berasosiasi dengan mangrove dan mengetahui jenis spesies gastropoda yang berasosiasi dengan mangrove di kawasan Pantai Tirang. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel sebanyak 6 titik stasiun dan di setiap stasiun terdapat 3 kategori mangrove yang dilakukan pengamatan. Pengamatan biota dilakukan pada tiga kategori mangrove pada tiap stasiun penelitian, semai, pancang, dan pohon. Pengamatan dilakukan dengan menghitung jumlah biota yang berasosiasi dengan mangrove. Analisis data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik analisis one way anova dan analisis korelasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai koefisien korelasi pada mangrove fase semai sebesar 0,29, fase pancang sebesar 0,60 dan fase pohon sebesar 0,75. Nilai signifikansi pada uji one way anova sebesar 0.00 yang menandakan perbedaan yang sangat nyata antara gastropoda pada mangrove fase semai, pancang, dan pohon. Hubungan diameter tegakan mangrove terhadap jumlah gastropoda yang berasosiasi bahwa semakin besar diameter batang, maka semakin banyak biota yang ditemukan berasosiasi.

Mangroves are plant communities or individual plant species that can form these plant communities in tidal areas. Gastropods belong to the class of phylum Molluscs and live attached to stems, mangrove roots and on the surface of the substrate. Tirang Beach as a coastal tourist attraction and has a mangrove forest area located in Tambakrejo village, Tugu sub-district, Semarang city. This study aims to determine the relationship between stand diameter and gastropods associated with mangroves and to determine the types of gastropod species associated with mangroves in the Tirang Beach area. This study used a sample of 6 station points and at each station there were 3 mangrove categories that were observed. Biota observations were carried out in three categories of mangroves at each research station, seedlings, saplings and trees. Observations were made by counting the number of biota associated with mangroves. Data analysis in this study was carried out using one way ANOVA analysis techniques and correlation analysis. The results of this study indicate that the value of the correlation coefficient for the mangrove seedling phase is 0.29, the sapling phase is 0.60 and the tree phase is 0.75. The significance value in the one way ANOVA test was 0.00 which indicated a very significant difference between gastropods in the mangrove seedlings, saplings and trees. The relationship between the diameter of the mangrove stand and the number of associated gastropods is that the larger the diameter of the stem, the more associated biota are found.
