Abstract

ABSTRAK
(Muhammad Shulhan Jihadi. 26050119130040. Pemodelan Koridor Migrasi Paus Biru Kerdil (Balaenoptera musculus brevicauda) Di Laut Sawu Dan Laut Banda Menggunakan Circuit Theory. Muhammad Zainuri & Rikha Widiaratih).

ABSTRACT
(Muhammad Shulhan Jihadi. 26050119130040. Modelling of Pygmy Blue Whale (Balaenoptera musculus brevicauda) Migration Corridor in Savu and Banda Sea Using Circuit Theory. Muhammad Zainuri & Rikha Widiaratih).
The pygmy blue whale (Balaenoptera musculus b) is a marine mammal that migrates every year from Australia to Indonesia and vice versa. Indonesian waters which is often the migration corridor for pygmy blue whales is located in the Sawu Sea, while the Banda Sea is a breeding ground or spawning ground for pygmy blue whales. This study aims to apply Circuit Theory in modeling the migration of pygmy blue whales. The data used in this research is species data and environment data. The species data is obtained from the Andrews-Goff’s GPS tagged pygmy blue whale research (2018 & 2020) and sighting data by BKKPN Kupang, while environmental data in the form of bathymetry, slope, distance from slope, sea surface temperature, chlorophyll and salinity is obtained from NASA’s Aqua MODIS, ESA’s Marine Copernicus, and GEBCO. The method used in this research is to make suitable habitat model of pygmy blue whale using MaxEnt, which then
the results are used as input in the Omniscape algorithm as resistance layer. From the habitat suitability, it is known that the most influential parameter on the habitat of the pygmy blue whale is the distance from the slope of 32.175%, then the climatological average of sea surface temperature 25.575%, the climatological
average of chlorophyll 11.975%, bathymetry 10.575%, standard deviation of salinity 8.325%, standard deviation of sea surface temperature 4.275%, mean climatological salinity 3.775%, climatological standard deviation for chlorophyll was 2.075%, and the slope was 1.375%. The results showed that there are many
important locations in the form of choke points on the islands in East Nusa Tenggara around the Sawu Sea which are migration corridors for pygmy blue whales.
