Abstract

(Rachel Maelisa Damanik. 26050119120017. Analisis Hubungan ENSO dan IOD Terhadap Variabilitas Suhu Permukaan Laut dan Klorofil-a di Selat Karimata. Heryoso Setiyono dan Kunarso).
Selat Karimata merupakan saluran yang menghubungkan sirkulasi massa air laut yang mengalir dari Pasifik ke Samudera Hindia sehingga kondisi oseanografisnya dipengaruhi oleh kondisi iklim global. Fenomena El-Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO) dan Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) berkaitan erat dengan suhu permukaan laut dan variabilitas klorofil-a. Data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah data suhu permukaan laut Aqua MODIS, klorofil-a Aqua Modis, angin ERA-5, arus ERA-5, indeks ONI, dan indeks DMI yang diolah menggunakan metode komposit serta analisa koefisien korelasi. Fenomena IOD lebih berpengaruh terhadap SPL dan klorofil-a di Perairan Selat Karimata dibandingkan dengan fenomena ENSO. Saat fenomena El-Niño dan IOD Positif terjadi anomali sehingga SPL menurun mencapai 28°C sedangkan klorofil-a meningkat mencapai 0.8 mg/m3. Saat fenomena El-Niño dan IOD positif suhu permukaan laut menurun diikuti dengan klorofil-a yang meningkat. Saat fenomena La-Niña dan IOD Negatif terjadi anomali sehingga SPL meningkat mencapai 31°C sedangkan klorofil-a menurun mencapai 0.3 mg/m3. Saat La-Niña dan IOD negatif SPL meningkat diikuti dengan klorofil-a yang menurun.

Relationship between ENSO and IOD on the Variability of Sea Surface Temperature and Chlorophyll-a in the Karimata Strait. Heryoso Setiyono dan Kunarso).
The Karimata Strait is a channel that connects the mass circulation of seawater flowing from the Pacific to the Indian Ocean so that its oceanographic conditions are influenced by global climate conditions. The El-Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO) and Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) phenomena are closely related to sea surface temperature and chlorophyll-a variability. The data used in this study were Aqua MODIS sea surface temperature, Aqua Modis chlorophyll-a, ERA-5 wind, ERA-5 currents, ONI index, and DMI index which were processed using the composite method and correlation coefficient analysis. The IOD phenomenon has more influence on SST and chlorophyll-a in the Karimata Strait waters compared to the ENSO phenomenon. During the El-Niño phenomenon and positive IOD anomaly occurs so that the SST decreases to 28 °C while chlorophyll-a increases to 0.8 mg/m3. When the El-Niño and IOD phenomena are positive, sea surface temperature decreases followed by an increase in chlorophyll-a. During the LaNiña phenomenon and negative IOD anomaly occurs
so that the SST increases to 31°C while chlorophyll-a decreases to 0.3 mg/m3. During La-Niña and negative IOD, the SST increased followed by a decrease in chlorophyll-a.
