Abstract

The analysis of the financial performance of the City of Semarang Government using several regional financial ratios is one of the tools that can be used to evaluate the economic performance of a particular period. The study selected the budget period from 2018 to 2021 to analyze the financial performance of the City of Semarang Government before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. The data used is secondary data from the Budget Realization Report (LRA) for the
fiscal year 2018 until 2021.
The financial ratio of the region used consists of the independence ratio, the decentralization rate, the efficiency rate, the compatibility rate, the growth rate, and the direct and indirect spending ratio. The results of the calculation of the
regional financial ratio in this study were supported by a statistical test of an independent sample t-test, with the results showing that there were no sufficiently significant differences in the financial performance of the Municipal Government
of Semarang either before or during the Covid-19 pandemic. Thus, the City Government of Semarang can adapt to the constant social changes in the form of the Covid-19 pandemic so that the financial performance of the City government is
assessed as sufficiently stable to maintain and improve the regional financial performance despite being in the midst of the covid-19.
