Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the simultaneous and partial effects of land area, seeds, fertilizers, labor and pesticides on red chili production in Aek Simotung Village. The research was conducted in Aek Simotung Village, Saipar Dolok Hole District, South Tapanuli Regency in May 2022. The research method used in this study was a survey method involving 43 respondents who were taken by census. Sources of data in this study are from primary and secondary data. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and multiple linear regression analysis using the SPSS 25 program. The dependent variable (Y) in this study was production, while the independent variable (X) consisted of land area, seeds, manure, labor and pesticides. The results showed that simultaneously the factors of land area, seeds, manure, labor and pesticides affect the production of red chilies. Partially, land area, seeds, labor and pesticides have a significant effect, while manure has no effect.
