Abstract

ABSTRAK
Annisa Eka Putri. 26010118140092. Distribusi Sampah Laut dan
Kecenderungannya Terhadap Vegetasi Mangrove di Pesisir Desa Kaliwlingi,
Brebes (Pujiono Wahyu Purnomo dan Sigit Febrianto)
Kabupaten Brebes memiliki potensi yang besar dalam mengembangkan sektor
pariwisata Hutan Mangrove. Wisatawan yang terus berdatangan akan berdampak
terhadap bertambahnya jumlah volume sampah yang akan masuk ke kawasan
mangrove dan terjebak pada akar-akar mangrove yang harusnya digunakan
sebagai penjebak sedimen. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi
komposisi dan mengetahui hubungan kepadatan sampah dengan kerapatan
mangrove di kawasan Desa Kaliwlingi, Brebes. Metode yang digunakan pada
penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif eksploratif. Metode pengumpulan data
dengan metode purposive sampling pada 3 stasiun dengan transek 10 x 10 m

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Bulan September 2021 dengan menganalisis
variabel sampah laut, batang mangrove dan penggunaan lahan. Hasil penelitian
menunjukan bahwa komposisi sampah laut didominasi oleh jenis plastik (St1
83,33%; St2 100%; St3 94,31%) disusul sampah jenis kaca (St1 4,17%; St2 0%;
St3 34,07%), pakaian dan turunannya (St1 4,17%; St2 0%; St3 1,22%), kayu (St1
4,17%; St2 0%; St3 0,41%), dan yang paling sedikit adalah logam (St1 4,17%;
St2 0%; St3 0%). Jenis mangrove yang ditemukan di lokasi penelitian yaitu
Rhizopora mucronata, Avicennia marina, dan Sonneratia alba. Kerapatan
mangrove tertinggi ada pada stasiun stasiun 2 dengan nilai 40.722,22 ind/ha yang
didominasi oleh mangrove jenis Avicennia marina. Hasil analisis regresi
menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara sampah laut dengan kerapatan
mangrove dimana nilai korelasinya adalah 0,476 yang menandakan sampah laut
cukup mempengaruhi kerapatan mangrove.

Brebes Regency has great potential in developing the Mangrove Forest tourism
sector. Tourists who continue to arrive will have an impact on increasing the
volume of waste that will enter the mangrove area and be trapped in the
mangrove roots which should be used as sediment traps. The purpose of this study
to identify the composition and determine the relationship between waste density
and mangrove density in the Kaliwlingi Village, Brebes. The method used in this
research is descriptive exploratory method. The data collection method was
purposive sampling method at 3 stations with a 10 x 10 m2 transect. This research
was conducted in September 2021 by analyzing the variables of marine debris,
mangrove trunks and land use. The results showed that the composition of marine
waste was dominated by plastic types (St1 83.33%; St2 100%; St3 94.31%)
followed by glass waste (St1 4.17%; St2 0%; St3 34.07%), clothing and its
derivatives (St1 4.17%; St2 0%; St3 1.22%), wood (St1 4.17%; St2 0%; St3
0.41%), and the least metal (St1 4, 17%; St2 0%; St3 0%). The types of
mangroves found at the research site were Rhizopora mucronata, Avicennia
marina, and Sonneratia alba. The highest mangrove density is at station 2 with a
value of 40,722.22 ind/ha which is dominated by Avicennia marina mangroves.
The results of the regression analysis showed that there was a relationship
between marine debris and mangrove density where the correlation value was
0.476 which indicated that marine debris had a significant effect on mangrove
density.
