This study examined the correlation between empathy and prosocial behavior. Empathy is defined as the ability of an individual to be able to respond, feel, and understand both other's feelings and experiences without losing their own identity. While any kind of voluntary action that aimed for helping and benefit others, both psychologically and materially is considered as prosocial behavior. There are 193 respondents obtained by using convenience sampling. Empathy Scale (30 items, α = 0,874) and Prosocial Behavior Scale (31 items, α = 0,907) are used in this study. Hypothesis was tested by non-parametric test Rank Spearman and the result showed that there is a positive and significant correlation between empathy and prosocial behavior with rxy= 0,768, and p = 0,000 (p < 0,05). Which means the more levels of empathy students have, the higher the prosocial behavior and the lower the level of empathy, the lower the student's prosocial behavior.
